Blogging. Many people think that blogging is as simple as sitting down at the computer and typing up a quick little blurb and then moving on to the next one. And for those who do a personal blog or who are not interested in either promoting themselves or their business or making money- it is. But in order to create something substantial it is a whole lot more than that.

Research

To write an informative blog post is not as easy as it might seem to be. You have to strike the right combination and not only keep your readers interested but teach them something they did not previously know. Every writer has their own style that becomes more distinctive as time goes on but getting into that flow takes time.

Even before writing a blog post a lot of time can be invested in research. This research can include clarifications on the subject you are writing about such as date details, a review of a product, an overview of notes taken previously on the subject, or just an overall gathering of the thoughts in your head.

Once you have have a more concrete idea about your topic the research on the written part itself comes in. What keywords are you using and are there any longtail keywords that will work well with your topic? What type of post are you going to write and from what perspective? And what headline is going to garner the most interest?

These questions can sometimes generate confusion and lead to writers block. There are a ton of great tools and how to posts out there to assist you.

Interlinking and Proofreading

Now you have your post written one of the first things that you should do is proof read and spell check your post. There has been a lot of debate about whether articles should be grammatically correct and the spelling error free but a post reads more fluidly and is more easily understood if it reads the way that it should.

Interlinking helps your blog out in several different ways. It helps to get your older pages looked at more frequently and to decrease your bounce rate. It also assists in ranking (although not as much as an incoming link). Once you are done writing your post you can go back and pick out keywords and phrases that you can use to link to other posts on your blog. In the beginning this may seem tedious but once you get in the habit of doing this it will become second nature.

Outbound Links

Linking out to other blogs can be a time consuming activity- but one well worth the effort. Outbound links can assist you in that they show your readers that your knowledge of your post doesn’t stop with what you are writing but with the knowledge of what others are writing about the same topic. It can draw new readers to your blog as people you link to will generally come take a look at what you are writing. It can also help build you up as an authority in your field.

Make sure that you give correct credit when linking to someone else and don’t just put the link in the anchor text without mentioning them or their blog. And it needs to flow smoothly with your post and make sense- don’t just put a link to put a link.

A great example of someone who uses outbound links effectively is Jim Regan at The Net Fool. Every Sunday he writes Sunday Link Love and Announcements in which he writes about the week, gives five links to great posts he has read that week along with a little summary and finishes up with stock market and blogosphere updates and a look ahead. These articles are all high quality posts and really strengthen his credibility.

Promoting

Last but certainly not least- promoting. Promoting your blog can be the most time consuming part of of blogging itself if you are intent on steadily increasing your traffic. There are many different ways to promote your blog including article marketing, forums, social networking and bookmarking sites, and commenting on other blogs.

As you become more proficient in the ways that you want to promote your blog you will find that you are able to do way more in less time. For instance, if using article marketing as a tool you can use article submission sites which automatically submit your article to thousands of websites, blogs, and directories. Or if you choose to do it yourself you can have five different article submission sites open and copy and paste right down the line. (Much, much faster than doing it one at a time.)

Participating on forums and social networks which allow you to use a link to your blog in your signature is a great way to promote yourself and create traffic to your blog. Twitter is also a good source to promote but don’t get too tweet happy with announcing new posts- most of the people following you will also be subscribed to your site and you will be giving them a double whammy.

By using the concepts of attraction marketing and you will make your job that much easier. You can also submit your post to relevant bookmarking sites and directories.

One of the easiest ways to promote your blog is to comment on other blogs especially those that use the comment luv plugin developed by Andy Bailey. This is a perfect example of why headlines are so important. With comment luv there is a line under your comment that links to your last blog post. If your headline is intriguing you may be surprised by the number of clicks you get. (One tip here- if you are getting ready to publish a new post wait to make your comments until after you publish. This gives you a fresh link especially if you have made a lot of comments since your last post).

Conclusion

Overall, it is clear that blogging can be very time consuming to those who take it seriously. Bloggers that have learned how to take what started out as a fun past-time and turn it into a lucrative career have known this all along. While every post doesn’t have to be a candidate for the Nobel prize you do have to be sure that you are using most, if not all, of these techniques in each one to gain the blogging success you are looking for.

The next time someone makes a comment about why it takes you so much time to write a little blog post you can just smile and think to yourself, blogging is so much more than just writing.

Those that dream of blogging for profit will find this goal is well within reach as long as they are of at least average intelligence, have a willingness to put in the hard work and have a minimal grasp of the use of blogging software. Yet, only a tiny percentage of people actually get the profits they expected from their weblog.

There are normally two reasons most bloggers fail to earn money with their blogs. Sometimes, bloggers have fantastic expectations of how fast their readership will grow and how much money they will make. The second catch that several bloggers fall prey to is little preparation. When these aspirations are not met these dashing hopes can crush their desire to continue blogging.

To be a successful blogger one must set out a plan of action and follow it. A large audience is the most important thing that will be needed to succeed at blogging for profit. The greater your traffic, the more advertisers will agree to pay you.

At the same, it can be difficult to generate the repeat business your blog needs to be lucrative. As the number of blogs increase every day, an excellent writing style or a great idea isn’t enough to have your weblog succeed. The problem is that bloggers focus too much on writing and neglect the advertising aspect of their weblog.

It is important to market your blog in the best way. When you advertise on weblog search engines like Technorati and readers see your frequent updates, there is greater chance they will visit and revisit your blog. This kind of advertising will help you obtain and maintain high volume of traffic.

Don’t cut short the amount of time you spend trying to draw visitors to your blog since it does not matter how often you update it, if there is nobody visiting your blog to start with. To make your aspirations of blogging for income a reality, why not try decreasing your number of posts and using some of that time to draw new visitors.

You can do this by setting up link exchanges with other bloggers, making contacts in the weblog community, and following other established modes of winning visitors and increasing traffic. Nevertheless, having a great weblog idea and smart marketing strategy will not ensure quick success.

It takes time and application before your following will grow to the point that you can turn a profit from blogging. Try to stay committed to your blogging plan during this initial rough period. In order to keep yourself motivated you should set small goals, and address the readers desires you want to draw in. And don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back for your hard effort.

Another type of blog that can be made to raise money is one that improves the image of a brand or product by positive connections and associations being tied to it.

Entrepreneurial bloggers often use two methods to make money. One way is to think of the space on their blog as internet real estate that they can sell. Selling internet page space to advertisers will help you turn a profit in the easiest way.

Another type of blog that can be made to raise money is one that improves the image of a brand or product by positive connections and associations being tied to it. Both of these types of weblogs can earn you a good amount of money, a good eye for marketing also helps.

If your blog becomes popular, just know that businesses and other web sites will want you to sponsor their ads on your internet site. This can be a good thing if your aim is to sell marketing, and the above two ways are two methods you can go about it.

You can use other individuals to perform the legwork. This is called out-sourcing, or if you do not want to cut into your profit, you can do all of the work yourself. Keep in mind if you are doing everything yourself, you might not move as fast towards your goals.

Individuals can also make money by selling their weblogs ad space to Google. The blogger or webmaster has to put in scarcely any effort to reap the benefits. However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped, but it would not be wise to ignore Google’s income, it can be significant in time, if your blog becomes popular.

It can be time consuming to contact other sites directly concerning placing their banner advertisements or sponsored links on your site, but the money you can earn sometimes makes the time well worth it. People who have a strong background in sales and are proficient at pitching propositions can probably make quite a bit more money at it.

The most fundamental problem with this model is that you sometimes have to build quite a sizable readership before you can draw in advertisers. This can require you have to do several months of work before you start to make money from your blog.

If you have a lot of back links from other sites that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to attempt to go this route. The more related back links you have to your blog, the higher the page rank Google will bestow upon your site. The higher the page rank your blog has, the higher in Googles index you will go.

If you reach page one of Google, the amount of traffic to your blog can be astounding, and very very profitable. Not only will you draw more advertisers and visitors to your site, but you can also earn money from your affiliations with some of your advertisers. This is called affiliate marketing where you place another businesses advertisement on your site, in return for a commission when a sale is made.

Already recognized institutions are attempting to figure out a way to get into blogging because it is becoming more and more profitable. A number of companies have come to understand that weblogs can be an effective way to provide a favorable look for their corporation on the Internet.

Sometimes, a firm will employ an established blogger to produce a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company’s customers and to produce positive affiliations with their brand in their consumers’ minds. A lot of writers who were making a pretty decent living blogging found their income sky rocket when they started producing blogs for other companies.

What is funny, is a lot of talented bloggers could probably go this route, but will probably never even think about it, unless they are approached by another company first. If you find your self becoming popular with your blog and that producing it comes naturally, you may want to consider producing for others as well.

Professional blogging is a relatively recent concept and is perfect for budding enterprising individuals who have the mind, motivation and the basic understanding of web technology. There are not numerous people able to make a living just by blogging, and the social ranks of these so-called pro bloggers are relatively small as well.

Numerous people today create weblogs that bring in enough income to live on. Although the popularity of blogging is increasing every day, no one can anticipate whether it will continue to do so.

Many individuals who enter the world of blogging aspire to eventually make it their profession. There are very few individuals who happily devote an hour or more each day to their blog with out wishing time to time that they could earn some kind of financial reward for all of their work.

Earning money with your weblog can be done with several business models, the most popular of which is done using Google AdSense or selling ad space to a firm that targets the demographic market of your readers. Nonetheless, there are very few people indeed who can make a comfortable living just by selling space on their blog sidebars.

Because authors are invariably interested in what other authors are using their same medium, it should not be surprising that the bulk of weblogs readers are often bloggers themselves. This fact starts to explain why the individuals who succeed in the world of professional blogging are mostly people who have devoted themselves nearly entirely to the concern of learning , talking , and writing about blogging.

Pro bloggers enjoy writing about the art of blogging more than anything else. Many bloggers who are professional make the topic of blogging their ongoing subject that they concentrate on and develope in their blogs.

Of course, professional blogging is certain to become much more complicated in the future than it is today. In the present moment, pro bloggers who attract the largest audiences and make the most money are mostly concerned with delving into the blogging movement itself and with offering advice to amateur bloggers.

As blogging software becomes easier to use and more widely adopted, both bloggers and blog readers will be more diverse. As a matter of fact, it is very likely indeed that the world of professional blogging will also begin to reflect these changes.

Indeed, it is very difficult to anticipate exactly what kinds of blogs will be reaping the greatest financial rewards five or ten years down the road. Professional blogging is full of endless change and flux, therefore making it exciting to anticipate.

Blogs ordinarily arrive with prompt made blog templates or designs which are actually pretty decent but customization almost certainly should be made.

Blogs ordinarily arrive with prompt made blog templates or designs which are actually pretty decent but customization almost certainly should be made. Customizing your place to fit your personality and the theme of the blog would aid get readers in the mood to read which is as good as catching there interest?

So, if you are hunting for paths to maximize your profits there is a more than choosing the right blog arrangement, look no further than the techniques I have beneath.

The first thing is to include an “about me” area on your blog’s sidebar. Make sure to keep it simple and abstain making it seem difficult to use. Just a simple description of you and the things you are interested in would be enough for the blog.

Why put this up? Because people who are interested in your blog and what you are talking about and would also be curious to find out the person at the back of the blog so having something like that helps.

Some other feeling is to have your email address visual in your blog. A great tip to desist spammers is to use a illustration for this instead of plain text. Although your readers might not really contact you, having that on your blog adds some more credibility.

Pictures are too an outstanding additions. A pleasant ‘pic’ of yourself would further your credibility and potentially get you more readers. Of course, everyone likes an amicable face and if they liken your face to the informative articles you have up, it makes them feel much more acquainted with you.

Thus building up their syndicate with your blog and in the things you advocate. Of course, some of your posts would end up much more favoured than others.

These are those “classic” posts and you shouldn’t let fall out of site.

Create a link on your side bar that puts inflection on these important posts. These would get some more groups to your blog and to your former lower detected articles as well.

Next, you do not want to have a blog banner that eats up too much of your blog. A decent illustration that has the name of your blog is good enough. Make certain that it’s not too distracting so that you readers won’t be turned off.

Having a banner that’s too big would avert customers and potentially annoy them and have them going to another blog without even looking through your posts. That’s a client you have now lost.

Lastly, make sure your blog is artistically sound. No element colours and make certain your posts are decipherable. And you should probably use the standard, font size of 12. As well make certain that your posts are the center of concentration.

So don’t jumble your blog with too numerous add-ons such as games, videos and music. This would avert your reader and he or she may just play with the games you have or watch the videos instead of looking at the posts and clicking on your ads.

Recall, to them the point of reading and then convince them to buy or join something you may be promoting. Remember if they are distracted by other things that you have on your blog, then you won’t make any gain at all.

Connecting with their customers is an important way of building a relation that will hopefully last a long time and make a lot of profits in the method.

Online businesses are very creative at discovering new ways to connect with their customers. They may be too, because it’s a highly competitor market and the money and the orders go to the businesses that make the most beneficial impression overall.

Connecting with their customers is an important way of building a relation that will hopefully last a long time and make a lot of profits in the method. Many companies use blogging to aid them develop that relationship, although some groups enquiry whether it is a suitable substance for all businesses to use.

So what is the answer? Are there sure commerce sectors that wouldn’t aid from having a blog to heighten there internet marketing efforts?

In actuality it’s tough to think of a enterprise sphere that falls into this class; the enquiry is much more a case of what type of blog they are going to have than whether they should have one or not. The benefits of a commerce blog are too numerous and numerous to disregard.

So it’s obviously the style and exercise here that matters. A fun innovative company that sells toys and gadgets for all ages wouldn’t choose to set up a blog that was about making money online, because it wouldn’t suit them. Instead they would create plans to make a blog that represented their enterprise to the most beneficial of there capability. This would help to strengthen the aim of the website and mark them out as a company that was fun and modern in every way.

In differ there are many more companies that are much more thoughtful in their attitude. These will definitely use a blog which reinforces that posture and shows their customers how their enterprise works.

Of course the content of any blog is extremely important. Depending on the approach commerce uses, you will make the type of blog content diversify greatly. The fun gadget company may ask for loads of participation from their customers to get them implicated; they might also inquire for ideas for products they are selling perhaps may even ask customers for there stories and reactions to products they have already bought. A number of businesses have used this to great consequence.

An enterprise blog that has a more information based might be approached real differently tho’. It will oftentimes have a totally different stance, but will always tell the customers and clients what is moving on, rather than tantalizing them to take part on the blog.

Not every ‘online commerce’ has a blog, but much more and more of them are recognizing the benefits of creating one and utilizing it for online marketing among former things. Commerce blogging might be very different from personal blogs – and indeed you can see two business blogs succeeding to each other and not see too much similarities between them – but they all have the corresponding intention in the end, and that is to get the attention that their customers will be drawn too, and that will drive there commerce frontward.

You can write an entire eBook simply by writing articles. This is the perfect way to repurpose your content and market your eBook, long before it is completed. There are several ways to do this, but it must all start with choosing a niche and doing your research.

You do not want to write an eBook that no one will be interested in buying. That is why you must take advantage of the free keyword tools that are available to you online. Make sure there are people ready to buy the information you will give them in your eBook. If there are already similar products available for sale on the internet, purchase them and think about how you could improve upon what is out there.

Next, prepare an outline of exactly what information you want to include. You may need to do some research, so allow time for that as well. Divide your material into chapters. About eight to twelve chapters works well. That will make your eBook about eighty to one hundred pages in length, which is perfect for people who will want to print it out, rather than reading it on their computer.

Once you have completed your outline, begin to write articles that will go into a particular chapter. I always start with the first chapter, but then I jump to the chapters that I am most ready to write. As you write and submit each article, people will be able to give you feedback and opt in to your list. By the time you are finished writing, you will already have a list of prospects that may in interested in purchasing your eBook.

Starting a blog with your content is also a good idea. Again you will be repurposing the same information that is going into your eBook and turning into articles. Many people will find you through your blog, rather than from your articles, so it is important to do both. Update your blog regularly so that the search engines will find you easily. Use your keywords in your post titles and give as much valuable information as you possibly can.

Social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are also important in the eBook writing process. I have created something called tweeting your articles, where you tweet one sentence at a time from your article until it is all on Twitter. You can also let people read your content on Facebook, where articles are always welcomed in groups and on walls. Finally, your eBook will be ready for you to sell to create a passive income stream forever.

The year 2008 which began with a bang, was a mixed bag for social networking sites. They got lots of members but little revenue. However all indications are that this situation is bound to change in 2009

As 2008 comes to a close, we can take a look back at the year’s biggest news stories, technological advances and discoveries. I have been watching my crystal balls and I can tell you that nothing hypnotised me like the spawning growth of social media networks. As a blogger I always trolled the net looking for cutting edge tools. I wasn’t disappointed, they came in leaps and bounds.

I admit that the year 2008 had many Firsts; ironically while scientists working for mission critical sectors such as NASA were breaking all human records with their escapades on the Martian surface and searching the heavens for life, most of us were glued to the more mundane technologies such as the Iphone and Blackberry, the tantalizing Barack Obama winning the presidency and Lewis Hamilton winning Formula 1. Yeah that is true otherwise tell me, where were you when it was announced that for the first time astronomers have spotted a planet 3 times the mass of Jupiter orbiting a star outside our solar system.

On the social side of things we saw the emergence of sites where you can load a bunch of vacation pictures into a set, write a good narrative about the pictures and send a link to family and friends. Or better still other sites allow you to create blog entries in a network of other travel bloggers. Social network sites have evolved just like most things do.

Now you can not only describe and tag photos but you can also create a large map that highlights the regions you’ve been to. Once you are satisfied with your carbon prints, you can then share this with friends by sending the url or by posting the map on your social network profiles.

Yes, social network sites were the newsmakers of the year 2008. Think about the likes of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Digg, they all took a fare share of the year’s record books. If you don’t believe me, ask John McCain and Hillary Clinton. President Barack Obama was propelled to victory by money and votes generated by these social networks sites, a concept that was brutally denounced as a fad just a year ago. Well that is the positive side.

On the negative side, the economic doldrums dealt the social networks sites a deadly blow. Most budding sites that were poised to upset the apple cart by providing competition to those already established were bought off while others simply folded. For example companies like Imeem and Buzznet ran into financial trouble, Twitter bought Summize and Comcast bought Plaxo.

The twin-brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss settled a lawsuit against Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whom they accused of stealing their plan and business code while all three were students at Harvard and Zuckerberg was employed as a ConnectU programmer. If you missed the story here is a very short background. The brothers, who happen to be ConnectU’s founders, originally sued Facebook in 2004, claiming that founder Mark Zuckerberg had swiped their code and business plan after being employed as a ConnectU software developer while the three were students at Harvard University.

The duo are slated to receive a mixture of cash and Facebook stock as part of the settlement. The brothers gained money but lost medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics where they finished 6th in the boating competition. Reaching the final at the Olympics is no mean feat though.

The other downside of social network marketing is that although these sites have connected millions of people, this has not translated to fat bank accounts. It is amazing that sites such as Facebook with over 100 million members are not making bucket-loads of money. Industry experts have voiced concern that social networking users do not view ads, no matter where you put them or how well you target them.

The year 2009 might see a slight change as companies such as MySpace put into place serious cash generation business models. The sites have helped rekindle old ties and friendship. However, they are making people more lazy to follow conventional human interactions besides eating away at homework times and employers’ time as workers continue posting even during working hours.

Something else less talked about is the breach of security and privacy for members of these sites. People have blindly decided to display details which should be kept private. Astonishingly an Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court in December 2008 approved lawyer Mark McCormack’s application to use Facebook to serve legally binding documents after several failed attempts to contact a couple at their house and by e-mail.That is the future of social network sites.

Not much is known about the other middle tier players in this sector on how they are doing. All we know is that, well the big shots have stolen their thunder. I am talking about social networks (forum scripts providers) supporting actors such as VBulletin, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal and others. We can only hope that they survived the economic crises. We would like to see them taking their place in the New Year.

I will keep watch here for you while you celebrate your success, failures and above all the sheer feat of surviving the 2008 economic crunch. I wish you the very best.

Consumer ratings and reviews, such as those seen on Amazon make the difference between prospects and customers and directly affect the online reputation of companies and products. Individual reviews combine to provide a community consensus that prospects use to make their final buying decision between two or more products. In the end, the difference between a four-star rating and a five-star rating makes all the difference to a company’s online reputation and directly affects the bottom line.

Amazon Reviews

While this article uses Amazon as a primary example, the same practices can be altered and used with other review sites as well.

The unfortunate fact is, Amazon reviews are rife with ’shills’. For review purposes, a ’shill’ is a person who pretends to have no association with a product or service – but in reality does, and who espouses positive reviews for that product or service. Shill reviews are intended to skew ratings in favor of the products or services they represent. While Amazon and sites like it do their best to eliminate shills, they cannot be totally eliminated. In an attempt to add more trust to their reviews, Amazon has created a special category of reviewers called ‘Amazon Vine’ reviewers. Amazon Vine reviewers are meant to be more trusted than other reviewers and are chosen based on the trust they have earned in the Amazon community for writing accurate and insightful reviews, however even this program cannot guard against professional shills whose primary job is to fool Amazon.

Attacking Competitors using Amazon Reviews

Many companies use Amazon reviews as a weapon against their competitors in an effort to damage their online reputation. Knowing that the product with the highest review usually wins, they hire shill reviewers to write false positive reviews about their products and in many cases to write scathing negative reviews about their competitors products. To the prospective customer these reviews appear perfectly legitimate; some even contain intentional spelling errors to appear more realistic. Faced with a choice of using the same unethical practices their competitors are using or taking the high road and losing market share, many companies are at a loss.

Ethical vs. Shill Reviews

There are ethical solutions to combat shill reviews and the online reputation problems they cause. The Amazon Vine program allows vendors to submit products for review by their Vine reviewers, but does not influence the reviews. Because crafty professional shills have infiltrated the program they are not completely trustworthy.

Providing the product (or service) is in fact excellent, prospective users of a product can be contacted and asked to try the product for free. When running your own review program, In return for the free product, they agree to write an Amazon review, blog review, or other review. They also agree to submit all reviews through a third-party review management service before submitting their Amazon or other review. If their review is found to be balanced, even if it contains constructive but true and informative criticism, it can then be submitted for inclusion in reviews by the consumer using their own account.

If a company has existing clients, for example those that have provided testimonials for the its products or services in the past, those individuals can be asked to share their reviews with others on Amazon, by blogging, or providing blog comments to existing blog product reviews. For companies with an existing client base, blog contests can be used to motivate individuals to provide reviews. The reviewer writes a review, submits the web address of the review to the review management service, and is entered to win a prize if their review is randomly chosen during a drawing.

In this way shill reviews can be counteracted using ethical means. It is worth repeating that the product or service being reviewed is, in fact, superior to the competition.

Picking Reviewers

If a company has existing positive reviews and testimonials and the contact information for the individuals who created the testimonials, a blog contest or review contest is a good first step.

If no existing ‘house list’ is available, reviewers must be located. To do this, opt-in mailing lists that align with the preferred reviewer profile can be purchased or rented. An email inviting the prospective reviewer including review process stipulations is crafted and sent. Responses are tallied and managed, product shipped and reviewers contacted after a pre-determined time and asked for their reviews. Another option is to use blogging contest sites, however the degree of control over the content of the review is lost when using this method.

Asking the Right Questions

One secret to getting good answers is asking the right questions. Providing a reviewing guide is very helpful in channeling responses in the preferred direction. For example, rather than asking ‘did you like the product’, ask more specific questions that reflect the positive attributes of the product or service. If your product is easier to install than that of the competition, ask ‘Please describe the installation process’.

A positive Amazon review can make the difference between winning or losing in the marketplace. While more difficult and time-consuming, managing ethical reviews is a win-win process for both companies wishing to protect their online reputation and consumers who rely on balanced reviews to make buying decisions.

Blogging regularly will increase your visibility on the internet very quickly. By starting a blog on your niche topic and using your keywords in your domain name, blog title, and blog posts, people will be able to find you quickly and easily when they are using the search engines. Especially if you are just starting out online, you will build your business faster by posting to your blog as often as possible.

Have fun with your blog. Include helpful and useful information on your topic, but also give people an opportunity to comment on your posts and to be a part of an interactive conversation. This will make them more likely to visit again or to subscribe.

Planning your posts at least a week in advance will make your blog more organized. I like to write down what I will be posting about and then make some notes. That way, when I am ready to write my post, it will be completely researched and ready for my readers to take advantage of. Providing solid, well thought out information will help you to get noticed more easily.

Read and subscribe to other blogs in your niche. Leave comments on these blogs when it is appropriate and it will add something to the conversation. Making a connection with the authors of similar blogs will make you all stronger in the long run. See this process as coopetition, rather than competition.

On the internet, you will find that we all compliment each other’s work. Refer your readers to other blogs on your topic and leave trackbacks to let the other blogger know what you are doing. You will both benefit from this practice.

The overwhelming majority of blogs are abandoned within the first three months. Be willing to stick with it and you will build the visibility and credibility that will catapult you to the top of your niche. Think of your blog as your home on the internet, and you will attract the right readers and prospects into your business.

You can also have guest bloggers, use other people’s articles (make sure to give them complete credit and do not edit their writing), and review books or websites. This will make your blog more interesting, while also giving you a break from the daily posting.

Once you get into the routine of looking for things to write about, writing about these things in your blog posts, and connecting with your target audience, you will look forward to posting to your blog and build your visibility and credibility even faster.
