Increase Your Internet Profits

It is very important that you understand what cost-per-action means. It is paying for advertising where you only pay when the customer clicks through to your website. If they see your ad and do not click through then you do not pay.

Calculate Benefit:

You should understand how to calculate the program’s effect on your budget. This is something you can start doing once you get up and running.

Track Effectiveness:

Most programs offer you some way to track the effectiveness. You will want to stay on top of this so you can make sure that you are not wasting money.

Be Precise:

Make sure you write good ads. Even though you do not pay for running the ad, but only when someone clicks on it, that does not mean you do not want people to click on it. That is the whole point and what you are trying to get to happen.

Choose Keywords Wisely:

You will choose your keywords to associate with your ad. You need to do plenty of research and make sure you are choosing the right keywords.

Investigate the Company:

Make sure that the company you are using is a reliable company with a good reputation. Make sure they are worth the investment and can turn over results for you.

Make Use of the Tools Included:

Most programs come with a range of tools. Some offer tools that help you with keywords, writing your copy, and tracking results. Use all the tools to get the most from the program.

Target Your Market:

Do not forget your target market. Keep them in mind when choosing keywords and writing your copy. Even though you will likely be exposed to your target market through good keyword choices, you still want to stay focused on them as you would with any marketing efforts.

Understand the 24/7 Market:

You probably already understand that your online efforts are continuous. They go 24/7 and they are going to be reaching all types of people. Make sure that even though you are aiming for a target market that there are more possibilities out there.

Don’t Drop the Ball:

You need a good website to back up your ads. Make sure you do not let the customer slip through your hands by not presenting them with a compelling website.

Carry Through and Ask for the Sale:

Make sure you do not waste money on your ads by not asking for the sale once they click through. You should be upfront and have it right there on the page that they go to.

Look for Competitive Pricing:

Shop around and see where you can get the best prices.

Watch the Competition:

Keep an eye on what your competition is doing. You need to make sure that you keep up with them.

Use Different Formats:

When you use multiple ads, do not make them all copies of each other. Try out different tactics and use different ideas.

Promote One Product:

Make each ad target one product. Do not try to sell everything in one ad.

Use as Many Keywords as Possible:

Associate your ads with as many keywords as you can. Choose good keywords and use the best ones. This way you get the best exposure with the top keywords.

How To Find The Right Keywords

You have quite a few options when deciding on what keywords to optimize. FIRST of all you have to decide which keywords before starting any seo.

Keyword research goes first, the other things follow.

If this is your first website, you are starting seo for the first time the following means - success or failure. Either way you still learn something from the experience.

Failure - if you are selling dog food, and want customers who buy dog food do not optimize your website for the best keyword in your niche - without checking the competition number.

Success - starting out for the first time? Then find a keyword with 50-100 visitors a day and 1-3million competing websites only!

That way, it’s not mission impossible.

You can outrank websites who have 24 million competitors - once you gain that experience, just like anything else in life, you need some experience before you can do it perfectly right!

Free keyword tools exist, but there are also the paid ones.

The paid ones provide more detailed results. With a free tool it is enough if you are just starting out - to find that low competing keyword.

But if you have the budget you can go directly with a paid tool - and find those gems of keywords, these are keywords with high search volume and low competition number - something that is amazing.

That means the keywords will be easy to get the number 1 rank while at the same time it provides a ton of traffic.

But with a free tool probably you won’t ever find such gems.

So you have two options, like test driving some paid tool to see if you find the keyword gems - for “easy” rankings. Or use a free tool to find a keyword with 50-100 daily searches and less than 3million competition.

What next?

You have the keyword in your hand, only one.

Next optimize your website around that main keyword.

Here are some common mistakes I’ve seen a lot.

Mistake number 1: So my website is in the business niche, so the keyword I will optimize my website for is business. What’s wrong there?

Mistake number 2: They put the keyword like ten times in the meta keyword tag, and flood their meta title and description with their keyword.

Mistake number one show the webmaster did not really do his homework properly. Knowledge IS first, you need to understand seo, before you spend your time and money.

Paying For Website Traffic Verses Getting It Free

Theres a lot of business success stories on the internet. Unfortunately for every success story, there are probably 10 failures you do not hear about or even a hundred. Yes most business launches on the internet will fail. Why? Well the subject of this article deals with generating traffic to your website, and failures to businesses usually include not having enough traffic.

There are alot of factors involved in a successful business. There is team effort of the people involved. There is good business sence and even an element of luck. More importantly there is a strong sence of determination to succeed and a willingness to invest hard work and money. Yes money, the old adage that it takes money to make money is true to in most cases.

One of the most important aspects of doing business online is generating traffic. If you do not get traffic to your website, then basically all of your hard work and effort is in vein. Like people who walk into real world stores, traffic is the people walking into your website. This is where your sales are going to come from. The more traffic you generate, the more sales you will likely make.

Traffic that comes to your website is comparable to people walking into stores in a mall. Some are just there to browse. Not everyone will buy from you. Some large companies generate tens of thousands of visitors a day, but out of this amount, maybe only 15% of those will make a purchase. A 10 to 15 percentage of buyers though is great enough to make their businesses successful.

So how do these companies generate this kind of traffic? Alot of companies pay for their traffic. They pay for some type of online advertising. This spreads the word about their websites and generates the revenue to fuel their businesses. Yes you can generate free traffic and alot of these companies employ that aspect as well, however, the bulk of their traffic comes from paid traffic.

You see people use search engines such as Yahoo and Google to find the information they need. So using these search engines to acquire this traffic is one of the most effective methods available. While having good on page and off page SEO is important to get your site indexed at the top of the search engines and effectively results in free traffic, alot of companies choose to pay the search engines for this opportunity to be seen by these searchers of information

Yes paying the search engines can be the fastest method of getting visitors to your website there is. If you are willing to pay the top bid on the key words of your choice, you can almost guarantee the top results in any search. This method can litterally get traffic to your website with in minutes.

Is this a superior method? Well if you do not want to wait months or longer and doing tons of SEO work to get traffic, then yes paying for your traffic is the fastest way to go. In alot incidences you can even plan how much traffic you are going to get, resulting in a steady flow of customers to your website. This can be instrumental in your companies success.

Secondly even though search engines provide information to millions of users a day, there is no guarantee that if you go the SEO rought that you will see any of those people visiting your website. Paying the search engines to provide you with exposure to these people can be the guaranteed way to be one of the links they are exposed to when they do a search for information. And unlike the fluctuation that can come with free search engine traffic, paying for it can ensure that you are always at the top of the search results.

So how does this paying for traffic work? Well the first thing you need to do is create an advertisment and bid on certain keywords related to your site and your ad.. This can be a text ad, a graphic display ad or even a video ad that will display when some one searchs using the keywords that you bid on. When a searcher clicks on your advertisment, this is when the search engines will charge you a fee.

There are many excellent resources available that can teach you about creating successful pay for click campaigns, so this article will not elaborate in all of the details. Suffice it to say, that if your site is strong and you have good service and products, then paying for your traffic can result in enough revenue to not only pay for your click costs, but generate you a good profit as well.

The Pros And Cons Of Pay Per Click Marketing

Are you considering whether to run a pay per click marketing campaign for you company? Maybe though you are not quit sure what you might be getting into. Then it is in your best interests to know both the pros and cons that come with such a campaign.

With any type of business idea a person likes to look at the benefits first because they want to see the positive side. So that is the place to start. What exactly are the pros of running a pay per click campaign for your business and product.

1. Anyone can do it. Pay per click marketing can be used by anyone. You do not necessarily need deep pockets to get started. Yes you need some start up funds. But you get to set your own budget. Whether it is a $100 or $500 or $5000 you get to determine the amount of money you want to spend. You have the control instead of someone else. Pay per click marketing is available to everyone. And you do not need to be a genius to get started.

2. The results of a pay per click campaign can usually be seen immediately. It does not take weeks or months to know whether your campaign has been successful. You are able to track the results of your campaign as it is happening. This gives you the ability to make quick decisions about your campaign as well. If your campaign is going well you can increase your budget and if not you can cut back. You’ll know how to react when it matters instead of after it is too late.

3. Your website doesn’t need to follow all the SEO rules. Organic search engine results rely on websites being well optimized. But with a pay per click campaign you are buying placement at the top of the search engine results page. You get to automatically go to the head of the class.

4. You can bid on any keyword or phrase that you want. Most businesses and products have all sorts of keywords related to it. And you can have a piece of as many as you would like for a price. All you need to do is keep your bidding competitive.

So now that you know what some of the pros are it is important to know a few of the cons as well.

1. Pay per click fraud. Not every visitor received is a legitimate prospect. Some clicks may come from competitors that are looking to cost you money. It does happen at times. So it is important that you take the time to analyze your click traffic periodically. That way you might spot illegitimate clicks. If this does happen and you can prove it you can often get your money back.

2. Effective pay per click advertising can be expensive over the long run. And you have to spend the time tracking your campaign so that your costs do not get out of hand. You can easily lose thousands if you think you are going to set up a campaign that will run itself.

3. You have to pay the bill each month. If you don’t your campaign can get cut off. Once again this emphasizes the point of active management being needed. Having the time and resources set aside before you begin is important to a successful campaign.

Pay per click marketing has been the single biggest breakthrough in advertising since the invention of the TV. The dollars being spent on this form of advertising are only getting bigger each year. If you need to reach a large audience and the internet has the single largest audience you are ever going to find then pay per click marketing might be right for you.

Power Promoting Your Product Effectively For Free

Free, is just about the biggest time waster and greatest cause of online business failures you can imagine. But once you understand how the game is being played, then use it to your advantage. Here’s how.

We recently set up a membership site and were brainstorming to come up with some decent products and services we could use to help people overcome some of the problems associated with starting an online business. Promoting a product is always a headache for first timers and most of the time they do it all wrong.

The thing is, whatever you decide to promote it must have a structure. There will always be a product page explaining the features and benefits to the prospect. Images are essential because they make people feel good. We like pretty colors, and diagrams give out a huge amount of information in less than a second making them really efficient as well. So, we have done a great product page and now we need to let people know where we are.

Then it’s off to the free ezine Ads and other free advertising systems in the hope of making a fortune.

There is nothing wrong with spending time submitting free ezine Ads but really doing this is inefficient and has no lasting value. If the ezine has, say 5,000 readers then realistically, with todays deliverability issues, maybe 60% will receive it. This is just from ISP’s auto deleting emails because they have no idea how to run their business for the benefit of the consumer. From the remaining 3K possibly another 20% will end up in the persons email spam or trash folders. Yahoo, Hotmail, Comcast are just a few that trash your email. Few people bother to check these folders.

We now have approximately 2,500 people who have received the ezine. 10% will open the email and 1% will click on your 3 line advertisement. Depending upon your conversion for the product page and how targeted your visitors are, you should get one sale if you are lucky. Reality shows that free ezine ads are great as an exercise for writing short, powerful ad copy but nobody builds a sustainable business from them. They are something we do when starting out and then progress to more effective forms of promotion, usually paid.

The biggest takeaway for you to consider is that using free ezine ads, or most forms of free advertising is ineffective and there is no lasting benefit to you.

A Powerful, Long Lasting Promotion System For Free
(Check our Bio for the link to see a full explanation with a diagram)

With just a little more effort you can set up a great system for free that not only produces valuable, and lasting, backlinks but also puts your product in a topical themed environment which is an added bonus for the search engines.

First thing is to have your product sales page listed on a participating server. The product page contains a relevant anchor text “dofollow” link in the body copy which links back to YOUR main product sales page. This method does not involve reciprocal linking as this is either ineffective or problematic from a search engine point of view.

Now this is where it gets good and produces immense benefits to you. As part of your linking strategy you will submit one article to a Tier 1 article directory with relevant anchor text linking straight to your page on the participating server. Remember that you already have a text link pointing at your main product page.

How powerful and important is it to have links from Tier 1 directories pointing to a topical themed site housing your article and then the linking continues to your main page? This is far more effective than just submitting articles to the directories with a link back to your site although this is important as well. It’s all part of building a natural, wide ranging linking strategy.

Additionally your product is hosted on a different C class server. All this means is that the search engines give more relevance to sites that are not hosted on your existing server. For instance, if you had a main website and 2 add on domains then the search engines know this and any linking between your sites on that server, although relevant, is not considered anywhere as near as valuable as external links originating from another server.

If you want to take this to yet another level, and you should, then select some relevant Web 2.0 authority sites and use these to link back to your article on the participating server. For very little work you have developed a multi pronged linking campaign which is both natural and relevant.

It doesn’t get any better than that.
