If you look online, most of the answers people give to serious questions don’t provide adequate information for the best answer. I try to give it to you straight, complete, and definitive when I answer these commonly asked questions for internet business beginners.

Q: Are there ways to get visitors to my site for free?

A: In the online marketing world, you can almost always expect to get some things for nothing! There are some fantastic and effective methods of this. Examples would be: articles, blog postings, web directories, and forum posting. For the latter three, be careful. As an advertiser, you are considered a spammer if you paint a website full with your link. Be selective in your approach and segment your posts. A great method is to submit a few ‘regular’ posts, then submit your ‘money’ post afterward. This should eliminate the possibility of being labeled a spammer.

The second and probably most effective method is article marketing. It is totally free, and it doesn’t take much to write a 300 – 500 page article. The only drawback is that you’ll have to be patient. Article marketing works best in it’s cumulative application. In other words, the more regular articles you submit, over time, the cumulative effect takes over and your writings will be viewed by hundreds, if not thousands of people per day. Try to write and submit one a day for the best results.

Q: My online business has been up and running for a month now and I have not made any income yet. Why is this?

A: Simply put, one month’s work is not necessarily a good barometer of whether your online campaign is or is not a success. There is not really a definitive time frame by which to measure your success. A good rule of thumb is to make sure you’re making measurable progress within a reasonable period of time.

For instance, if you’re on a campaign and you haven’t made a dime in a month, examine the variables in your campaign. If you’ve been going for a month and you’ve posted 5 or 6 articles, put up $50 for Google Adwords, and not much else, then you should examine the lack of effort you’re putting toward your campaign.

But say you’ve been at it for a month and you’ve spent $200 on Google Adwords (after adequate keyword research), posted 20 or more articles, and posted your link onto 15 or so blogs, then it’s probably the product that’s the problem.

Online business works for many people but understand that it should not be taken lightly. This is a business and it should be treated as such. Treat it like some kind of hobby and I promise you will not only get hobby results, you’ll be broke!

Q: I want to start an online business that is guaranteed to provide me with income. How can I do this?

A: This is a common question and the answer is as uncomplicated as you wouldn’t want it to be. Listen, the major differences between online business and other kinds of businesses are profound and user friendly. You can make a bigger mark significantly faster than in other businesses, plus it’s cheaper to start, plus many other reasons. But, the fundamental human characteristic elements are and forever will be constant.

My point is this. You will achieve what you want to achieve in online business if you have patience, confidence, persistence, smarts, diligence, discipline, ambition, etc., but it’s that way if you want to be a ballerina or a paleontologist, or a sculptor, or a marine biologist! One promise I can make to you: give this your absloute best effort and it will not disappoint! You can do this!
