Word of mouth sales is one of the very important facets of network marketing. The word of mouth sales can have two kinds of positive results:

– The first kind of sales is where the recipient of the product uses it and is very happy about the product and they tell about it to everyone else in the neighborhood or to people who are close to them. They tell everything good about it because it is really good. Finally, at least one in ten of those people who listen to these advertisements would eventually purchase it from wherever they can find it.
– The second kind of sales is where the recipient of the product uses it and is very happy about the product, and he/she is also happy about how you sold the product to them, and they tell about the product to everyone else in the neighborhood or to people who are close to them, and they recommend the person who is interested to eventually make the purchase from you.

Word of mouth sales is ultimately profitable to the MLM company whose products you are dealing with. Whether the end user gets it from you, or from some other affiliate or from some other marketing network of the company, the company is going to profit; However, when you are waiting to add points to your sales, there is no use for you, if someone who purchased from you advertises the product, but the recipient party gets the product from someone else. Though it is a profit to the company, you are not benefiting in any way.

In cases, where the person who makes the word of mouth sales is your down line in your MLM

(or)

If the person who is purchasing is going to make the purchase from one of your MLM down lines, you will have some indirect profit.

But what is the use, if sale takes place, but there are no points or profit to you?

The very critical part of word of mouth sales is not to have your client advertise your product by giving positive reviews, but “The ultimate success stays when the client comes back to you or your network marketing business down lines to make the purchase.”

How can you make this happen? This is where most people miss out. Failing to have the clients come back to you to make the purchase is a kind of sales loss.

You do the hard work of making the primary sales and all the secondary and tertiary sales gets scattered all over!

How can you make this happen? How can you have people return to you? When the product is mesmerizing and good, people go behind the product.

When the salesman is mesmerizing, informative and magnanimous the word of mouth sales of the product is made along with a recommendation to make the purchase from you.

You can achieve this only if you are personally an enthusiastic person who can touch the thoughts of people when you make the sale. Learn the art, and you are in your best routes to success.

Battles have been fought over many things. The same is true about selling in MLM. There is a constant battle between a brainer sale and a no brainer sale; a too truthful sale and a partially truthful sale.

When you read the above statement, the following questions might come up in your brain:
– What is a brainer sale?
– What is a no brainer sale?
– What is the difference between the two?
– Should I make a brainer sale?
– Should I make a no brainer sale?
– What difference does each one of them make between each other?

A “brainer situation” is where the buyer understands the real worth of the product. He realizes the wholesome use and worthiness of the product. Since, he is sure of the real worth of the product, he will be someone who is ready to pay the extra price for it or for the most part he will realize that the prize is worth for whatever he is buying.

A “no brainer situation” is where the buyer will not understand the real worth of the product. However, he will be someone who is a brand crank who will be ready to pay anything for a brand name or they will pay to just show off that he owns it or he will be someone who must be tempted to get a quality product someway or the other. They are someone who is not aware of the money they will have to actually pay for the product, because they are hardly ever aware of the quality requirements. They are not sure of the correct value. They undervalue or overvalue a product.

So, in a brainer sale the end customer is well aware of what he is paying for and why he is paying for, but in a no brainer sale the end buyer might or might not be aware of what he is paying for and why he is paying for. The no brainer sale is an impulsive sale, in a no brainer sale the buyer might regret about why he traded in a certain way, but in a brainer sale the buyer has no regrets about the trade and he is happy about having got the product.

So, the best kind of sale would be where you are making a brainer sale, rather than a no brainer sale. If you are going to make a brainer sale, there is a possibility of viral network marketing because someone who sincerely likes a product will advertise it the right way. But if you make a no brainer sale, when the buyer happens to regret at a later stage, they might probably ill advertise you and your product, and that’s something you do not want in your MLM business.

A brainer sale is probably a way to germinate more sales in your MLM organization and a no brainer sale can probably be something disruptive for a long term foundation in your MLM Biz. Though a brainer sale is better than a no brainer sale, sometimes when you are looking to reach your target sale points you can pretty well make some no brainer sale too. Honestly! Anything that is too good can be dangerous to any kind of marketing, including Network Marketing.

Imagine how wonderful it would be if you can introduce your friends to some of the products you are dealing with.

Tell them how good it would be if they use it. How wonderful and majestic is the durability of the product! They are excited on hearing it and the product sells!

The person who has brought this will further tell it to some of their other friends. They will be excited, and again the product will sell. Again, people keep telling it to others and the news spreads and they buy! Stop! Stop!

If you think something like this will happen. You have perceived things the wrong way, because, this will not happen for the most part.

Try to understand human nature. Most of us are happy when we are unique and different from other people around us.

We always prefer to be different and better from our neighbors. If I find a good product and I see it is
extremely useful, I subconsciously go greedy! I would not let others know about it for the most part. If at all I feel that the product is good, I would recommend it to someone very close to me like my mother, brother, sister or some real cool friend. Definitely, I would be greedy to let my neighbor know about it.

Say, I have tried a new fairness cream or a moisturizer that has worked magic in my looks. If my neighbor is going to ask me what I used to achieve the new look. I would smile and say, Really! I don’t feel any difference. I am not doing anything new. I would prefer to have the secret of my charm a real secret and keep others wondering.

Whether we accept or not, this kind of let not others know attitude is definitely there in most of us. There are very few boast boxes that would prefer to let others know the brand, discount and benefits of the product they have got.

So, when 80% of the people are going to be like this how do you think that sharing your product details can lead to selling? Remember, when you are in to network marketing if you are going to plan your sales through sharing, it might not bring in the kind of result you are actually looking for.

So, make sure you are selling and not sharing! Understand that people do require a reason to share. Try introducing some promotional plans that will urge them to talk about it to others and let others know about your product.

Before a selling strategy can be studied and perhaps corrected, someone has to make the intellectual jump of even defining it! So, think how you will make your product worth being shared and talked about by everyone who is going to be your buyer.

When you are able to stimulate this, selling by sharing becomes possible, provided you do not bore them with your excitement about your product, then you will achieve your goals in your MLM business and success will follow!
