Low Cost Web Site Promotion

Anybody could own a web site. Anybody could up sell their own products and services to their target audience. Anyone could try to promote their web site with a low cost. But there are not many web sites that have a truly successful web site with traffic all day through. What these individuals or companies lack is the most essential factor of success – a low cost web site promotion that really works.

If you have been trying to promote your own web site and you have received traffic every hour, my hands are down for you. But for those people who need assistance, who does not have the patience to promote their own product and services, and lacks knowledge to properly advertise themselves, here are some guidelines to help you achieve success with a low cost web site promotion.

Search Engine Submission and Ranking are the two basic parts to a low cost web site promotion. Both of the parts have the same effect on the market of the web site – for your products and services presented in your web site catches the people’s attention.

The first inexpensive method of web site promotion is the search engine submission. This first part is the act filing information and submitting your web site to search engines. There are two types of Search engine submission – manual and automatic. For a low cost and effective web site promotion, automatic submission is ideal because after filling up the information, a software program would forward this information to other search engines.

The second money-saving web site promotion is ranking. This refers to the numerical position in which your web site appears on a search engine, based upon the web site’s criteria. Some search engines rank the order in which your search results appear primarily by how many other web sites link to each page. The leading web sites on this order would eventually fulfill a low cost web site promotion.

Other types of inexpensive web site promotion you could use to boost up traffic on your web site are banner advertising, classified ads, text links and section sponsorship. Banner advertisements pop up above and below web pages, and sometimes in another window. Text links and section sponsorship may cost more, but these methods helps in promoting to your specified target audience. It wouldn’t harm your web site to try these methods.

Always remember that the effects of your not so costly web site promotion hits are increasing significantly each day. Don’t waste time; find an effective and affordable web site promotion of your choice today.

As most of you know, Adsense was once the hottest thing on the Internet. Everyone was jumping on board thinking they were about to get rich. Then, after a few weeks, the majority of site owners couldn’t figure out why they had made only pennies. Soon after, the grumbling and mumbling started about how you couldn’t make money with Adsense.

The facts are, there are quite a few of us who are bringing home damn good paydays with Adsense. Making money with Adsense requires a little more than just throwing up a blog, scraping content and adding your Adsense code. In a Nutshell, Adsense is still one of the easy ways to make money online. Here’s some Pro strategies that will help increase your payday from Adsense.

To begin with, take a long hard look at the site where you have Adsense. Is your site targeted to one niche? I find it really humurous sometimes when so called Internet Marketer say you can’t make any money with Adsense. The lack of a focused website is one of the biggest reasons Webmasters don’t make bank with Google Adsense.

For Adsense to show your visitors the highest paying ads, your site has to be very targeted to a keyword. For example, if you have articles on your site discussing everything from how green the grass is today to how sloppy your kids teacher dressed, Adsense isn’t going to give you the high paying keywords.

Okay, pay close attention here. Let’s say your website is about Chicken Wings. You have no articles on your site other than those about Chicken Wings. You have articles about Hot Wings, Barbecue Chicken Wings, Wing Sauce Recipes, How to cook Chicken Wings, etc. Now if you’ve done your on-page SEO properly, the Adsense bot will know that you site is all about Chicken Wings. If an advertiser is paying $2.00 per click to advertise their Chicken Wing product, your site will get that high paying ad. And what’s more, your visitors will likely click on that high paying ad because they are on your site looking for stuff pertaining to Chicken Wings when they see an add for something to do with Chicken Wings, which in turns gives you an excellent paying click.

Then you have the people who spend all their time sending Social Traffic to their site. It’s no secret to most of us that Social Traffic doesn’t convert. Traffic from Social Sites are just browsing the Internet while they should be working. They don’t click ads!

Google traffic is what drives clicks to Adsense. If your website is niche focused and you have your site SEO optimized for keywords, then when organic traffic from Google arrives, they’ll be clicking ads. They’re searching for information and they found it on your site. Your site has a bunch of Adsense ads about what they’re looking for. They are there to find information and they will click your ads!

Another trick is to have some vague or long drawn out post. Internet users are skip readers. Give them a long post or one that doesn’t answer their questions right away and they get bored and start looking around. Don’t solve their problem with your article. Let the Adwords advertiser do that!

The important thing is to focus on one niche per site. Get it focused and on target. Don’t try to cover many niches with your website because you’ll end up with those five cent clicks!

The days of the dull gray or black laptops are numbered, now we are able to match our laptop to our outfits or choose our favourite colors with the addition of colorful laptops from many of the large computer companies. Pink laptops in particular are gaining popularity among women (and even a few men). It’s no surprise with the invent of those funky apple ipods and even more recently the release of their new color range, who wouldn’t want a laptop to match their ipod or even to show off your favourite color at your local cafe rather than the run-of-the-mill black or gray one, a shiny new pink laptop is the way to go.

Many of the large computer companies – Dell, Samsung, Asus, Sony to name a few – now offer laptops in various shades of pink. Dell has also added several color options (pink being one of them) to their sleek, high-performance laptops. The addition of color was a good idea; they have proven incredibly popular and everyone from customers to reviewers raves about them.

When you are looking to buy a new laptop, there are several things you need to consider.

Weight
Carrying a laptop around all day, can get hard on the back. So how mobile do you want to be? How much weight are you prepared to carry? An extremely lightweight laptop really limits your accessory options, but can be a godsend in other ways.

Size
Similar to weight, size is mainly an issue of comfort and mobility. The bigger the laptop, the more space you need to set up, the bigger a bag you’ll have to carry and juggle on the train, the more accessories and additional hardware you can fit. And, the bigger screen.

Screen Size
Screen size is probably the biggest determiner of laptop size. If, for reasons of vision problems, gaming addictions, or any other reason you need a large screen, well there isn’t much anyone can do about it. If on the other hand, you are comfortable with a small screen (and accompanying small graphics, fewer words per screen, and webpage scroll bars) then your options open up a great deal.

Peripherals
DVD-ROM, flash drive, extra disk drives, touch sensitive screen, and all the other fun extras that you can get may be what you want or need in a laptop. The trade off here is both weight, and price. These extras all weigh something, and can cost quite a bit. Compare your budget with your wish list and only include what is needed.

Memory, RAM and Other Stuff
What do you plan to do with your laptop? What programs you’re going to be running determine how much memory you’ll need. They also have a great deal to do with what type of video and sound card you want to look into. If you don’t plan on doing anything more then word processing and making spreadsheets, you can keep extras to a minimum. On the other hand, if you love to game, you’ve going to want to max out your memory, and everything else.

Price
Usually the greatest trade off is price. A laptop can run up to several thousand dollars. The more extras you get, the higher the price gets. I strongly suggest you set your budget before you start shopping. That way you know your limits before you start looking at options.

If you’re ready to start checking out laptops, there are quite a few things you need to consider. Take this information as a starting point to get you going, and start exploring your options.

On Her Majesty’s Not So Secret Service

Former KGB agent Alexander Lebedev has made a bid to take over the London daily newspaper the Evening Standard.
The former spook has already admitted using the paper to dig out information when he was a young spy based in Britain. Now he is reported to have made an offer for a 76 per cent share in the paper.
Its owner, the hereditary peer the 4th Viscount Rothermere, chairman of the Daily Mail and General Trust, now has to decide whether the staunchly right wing Daily Mail, founded by the first Viscount Rothermere, should sell one of its finest assets to a former Red spook. But old politics is just about all that stands in the way of such a deal. Today spies are far more likely to read papers or log on to Facebook to find the intelligence they want than to bug, burgle or blackmail.

Among the most valuable sources today are blogs, MySpace and other web 2.0 hallmarks. `We’re looking now at YouTube, which carries some unique and honest-to-goodness intelligence,’ said Doug Naquin, director off the CIA’s Open Source center last year in a speech to CIA retirees.

Why risk infiltrating an agent behind enemy lines to gather intelligence when, for instance, pictures of Iran’s nuclear capabilities were found on the Internet? The CIA and MI6 used to prefer to HUMINT, human intelligence. Now their favourite is OSINT, Open Source Intelligence.

In September last year MI6 revealed it was using Facebook to recruit agents. `The secret intelligence service’s open recruitment campaign continues to target wide pools of talent representative of British society,’ said a spokesperson. `A number of channels are used to promote job opportunities in the organisation. Facebook is a recent example.’

In 2007 the government’s intelligence organisation GCHQ revealed it was to run an ad campaign in on-line games, including Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed Carbon, Unisoft’s Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell Double Agent, and Activision’s Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

A spokesman said GCHQ needed to reach `an internet-savvy generation of graduates.’ The Xbox generation are being recruited because it’s not only the West that has gone on-line. Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organisations use the internet and other open channels to put out misinformation. It takes one gamer to outwit another.

It has hit the older generation of spooks hard. Once intelligence had to have a top secret stamp on it to have any credence. Unless it was classified it was thought worthless. They have problems respecting information taken from open sources, and some now want to classify publicly available information as secret.

`The information might be unclassified but our interest in it is not,’ said General Michael Hayden, head of the CIA last year.
Sometimes it is just much easier for a government’s own people to access information through the web than to go to its own intelligence agencies. In the Iraq war soldiers have logged on to Google Earth to plan operations in Baghdad when their own maps have proved ineffective.

If the information is general knowledge, then it makes some kind of sense for the intelligence agencies to at least become partners in the modern media. They can even manage a little profitable marketing.

In December 2000 Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service admitted it was making a CD of agent’s favourite songs.
`You see, it’s like this,’ wheedled the FIS’s own press spokesman Boris Labusov. `When our intelligence officers get together – and this is a rare opportunity for them – at some point they feel like a bit of a sing-song. `And so they sing their favourite songs, including songs about their work.’

Songs include This Difficult Job Called Spying, and Profession: Espionage. How long before we get the Agent X Factor reality show?

This is what I have learned and before you even start you must not, I repeat, must not skip this part of Affiliate Marketing, this is the most important thing you will ever learn. If you do nothing else in your life but apply the methods you will learn in these series of articles I will be publishing, you will have a win win situation in what ever you decide to do.

You must plan, I know, you have heard this before, boring, I also thought so until I realised that this is what every great Entrepreneur does, this was drummed into me. Today I will never be without this plan, why, because it works, it’s as simple as that nor is it difficult here are the steps.

1. Get a note book and write everything down. All the stages of your progress, it may not seem important at this moment, but believe me this is the most important step of the whole process especially when you look back in 6 months time. You will be able to help others just by what you learn and struggled with, you may even be able to write an e-book from your notes.

2. How would you like to see yourself living in one year from now? Would you like to have a new car, house, finish the bank loan, earn $50,000 in one year etc., write it all down.

3. Now break it down into 6 months, where would you like to be in 6 months from now. What’s important is also to add your hobbies and things you like to do, you must include fun into your plan. Maybe you would like to take a trip abroad or you would like to spend a few days just concentrating on your hobby. It is important to also enjoy life otherwise your new business will become a drudgery. you will lose the motivation to keep going. Believe me all work and no play!

4. Do the same for every 3 months making sure that you keep at least one day free for your family, friends or yourself. After you have planned your three months just get a calendar and mark of the weekend or day you have decided not to work. Mark of with a red pen, your holiday or short trips or any days during the 3 months you know you will not be working on building your business and then see how many days are left. You will be surprised to see that actually you will have much less time to focus on building your business than you thought.

5. Now you will get a much better idea of how to do the weekly plan for the first 3 months. Start with the most important things to do first and then the second and what’s not so important. Work out the days that you will have to focus on your new business from the days not marked out in your 3 month calendar. This way you will have a better idea of how much time you have each week and what should be focused on first.

6. Most important always make a daily plan for the next day. Never miss this step. This is the actual practical doing daily so that you will actually find yourself moving forward just because you planned your next day. In the next article I will be breaking down a day to give you some idea of how to go about this.

Ok so step 2 – 5 is general and maybe you will not know exactly what you should be doing so just generalise for now. Even if you do not hit your goal do not dwell on it. What is important is step 6 – The Doing.

Just dreaming about achieving success will not get you anywhere, but doing it will get you there one step at a time, believe me. Until I did this I was running around in circles so please do not take this part lightly, do it. So if you want to know what I found and where my success came from.

In my future articles I will do my best to actually show you how to breakdown a daily plan, weekly and 3 monthly plan that I use and have found to be very useful.
